Drop Camps

As with our guided hunts, we pursue elk with a rifle during the rut in September. This is a very remote hunt. On day 1, you will fly into Chamberlain Basin.  Depending on your time of arrival, we will either stay at our transfer camp or ride into the hunting camp. You will have 5 full days of hunting. At the end of the hunt, you will ride back to the transfer camp and fly out the next day. Overall, plan on a 9 day excursion.
There are times when the weather is bad, which could delay the plane until the weather clears. You may purchase the following tags on your hunt: elk, deer, bear, wolf, lion. 
We prefer groups no more than 4. If you have a larger group, please talk to us about your options. 
Flight in and out will be a separate charge to Gem Air in Salmon Idaho.  We will arrange your flight in/out of the Chamberlain for you. Flights are around $1000 per person.  Game will come out with the soonest flight going out, or it will accompany you on your flight  out.  We will send you more information on that in your itinerary.  


Drop Campers are required to bring their own food. Make sure to pack an extra 3 days worth of food in case of plane delays. Mountain House meals work well and do not take up much space. We will provide all camping essentials except for paper products such as toilet paper, paper plates, and paper towels.

 Drop Camps -  $5000 per person.

License & TagsAnyone who has tried hunting in Idaho knows how quickly these tags sell out. They are sold out in a day. Fortunately, we have allocated tags to ensure your success in obtaining your tags.  Check out Fish & Game for updated prices on license and tags.
